General

JMC Enyorata International Service Ltd connects volunteers with community-led projects in and around Arusha, Tanzania. Once you apply, our local team arranges your orientation, accommodation options, and project placement. You receive 24/7 in-country support throughout your stay.
JMC programs run from 1 to 16 weeks. You choose the duration that fits your schedule and select the relevant week-based pricing when you apply.
JMC Enyorata currently offers seven project types in Tanzania: Medical Volunteering, Child Care, Teaching, Construction & Renovation, Sustainable Agriculture & Environment Conservation, Animal Welfare, and Women's Empowerment.
JMC partners with several volunteer-friendly hostels and lodges in Arusha, including Sunrise Hostel, Arusha Comfort Lodge, and Volunteer Inn Arusha. All options offer Wi-Fi, meals, and a safe, communal environment. You can also arrange your own accommodation.
Yes! JMC Enyorata offers post-volunteer tour packages including Serengeti safaris, Ngorongoro Crater day trips, and Arusha National Park tours. Browse our Tour Packages or contact us for a custom itinerary.

Pricing

Your program fee covers your project placement and varies by the number of weeks selected. It does not include flights, travel insurance, visa fees, or personal expenses. Accommodation can be arranged separately through JMC or independently.
There are three components: (1) Program Fee – based on the number of weeks you select; (2) Registration Fee – a fixed USD $290 to secure your place; (3) Bank/Processing Fee – 5% of the combined program and registration fee. All amounts are shown clearly in your booking summary before payment.

Safety

Yes. Arusha is a welcoming and well-established volunteer destination in Tanzania. JMC Enyorata has an experienced local team providing 24/7 in-country support, vetted accommodation options, and detailed pre-arrival guidance to keep you safe and informed.
Yes – travel insurance with medical coverage is strongly recommended for all volunteers. JMC does not arrange insurance directly, but we can advise on suitable providers.
Common recommended vaccinations for Tanzania include Yellow Fever (required if travelling from certain countries), Typhoid, Hepatitis A & B, and Tetanus. Malaria prophylaxis is also recommended for Arusha. Always consult your doctor or a travel health clinic before departure.

Application

No prior experience is required for most JMC programs. Our local team provides a full orientation on arrival. Some placements – such as Medical Volunteering – benefit from relevant study or experience, but are open to students and professionals alike.
Most JMC programs accept volunteers aged 18 and over. There is no upper age limit – we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and life stages.
Absolutely. You can apply together and we will do our best to place you on the same project and in the same accommodation. Contact us for group enquiries of 5 or more.

Booking

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change dates or project type. We will do our best to accommodate changes. The Registration Fee is non-refundable once confirmed, but we handle each case with understanding and flexibility.
