Construction & Renovation Volunteer Programs

This program needs active volunteers who don’t mind getting their hands or clothes dirty. There’ll be a qualified supervisor on site, so no prior construction and renovation experience is required.

Arrival and Orientation

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Airport pick-up is included. Orientation covers local customs, safety guidance, and an introduction to your construction project.

First Day

Volunteers are introduced to their project site, supervisor, and community partners. Work begins with orientation on construction methods and safety procedures.

Weekdays & Weekends

Daily schedules vary depending on project needs. Volunteers take part in construction and renovation tasks. Weekends are free for exploring Tanzania’s national parks and cultural attractions.

Requirements to Join

  • You must be at least 16+ years old (some projects require a minimum of 18).
  • You must submit a clean criminal background check report before joining.
  • You should have an open mind and a flexible attitude towards working in a new environment.
  • You must be proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to get involved in physical tasks.
